We’ve now got some new swanky signage on the door and walls. Doesn’t it look smart?!
Whittlesey Sports Association Taster
Today we hosted a Whittlesey Sports Association taster session at our range.
We will also be holding another one on Saturday 03-Dec-2022 and Saturday 17-Dec-2022.
More information can be found from Whittlesey Sports Association https://www.facebook.com/whittleseysportsassociation
We’re Open!
The range will reopen tonight! Thankfully the paint has finally dried. Thanks to all involved in this hard work, it looks spectacular!
Range Remains Closed!
Unfortunately we are struggling getting the floor dry properly to the agreed schedule and it is highly unlikely that the floor will be ready before 24th November.
So until we can confirm otherwise, the range needs to remain closed until further notice.
Apologies if that upsets any planned shooting.
Second Coat Done…
…, followed by two days drying, followed by line painting plus another two more drying days after that. We can only let people back into the range when floor is fully hardened.
But the result already look amazing!

Cleanup done!
A big thank you to all the volunteers who spent time over the weekend cleaning up the range. It was a very pleasant surprise on arrival this morning. Volunteers are never named for fear of missing somebody but you know who you are. Thank you 🙏
Maintenance Major Work Complete!
Hats off to all our hard workers, you’ve done a more than fantastic job. I’m sure you’ll all agree the difference is outstanding!
Without members like you, who give up their time and effort to the club, our subscription would so much more.
Maintenance Update (Friday)
The Range floor is now ready for painting, and the walls have been sanded and have had their first coat of fresh white paint and also their final coat! All the work progressed nicely and as planned, but could have been quicker with a few more working hands to help. Some members have volunteered their time this weekend to come to the range and clean, which is a great help! Unfortunately the main volunteers, who have given the club so much of their time and effort already, will not be at the Range on Sunday. Other members are requested to come down and help clean the Range. Everything should then be back to normal Monday! Floor undercoat starts 10am Saturday.
Today’s Maintenance Progress
The Floor grinding is finally finished!
We have now started the preparation work for painting the whole range. All the surfaces are being keyed and repaired.
The transformation starts soon!!
